The Internet is one of those strange places where an off the wall idea can suddenly grow legs with an e-mail to a few friends. That is what happened last week when my buddy Aaron Strout had the idea to write some positive haiku about brands he had interacted with lately and thought it would be fun to get some of involved.
The idea was simple. Take a positive brand experience you’ve recently had and write a haiku about it. Don’t know what a haiku is? The really quick answer it is a three line poem with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the last. Easy and challenging all at once.
I thought I’d talk about my experience of suddenly realizing I was an idiot and didn’t pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops like I thought I had done and suddenly getting the urge to play. So here is my #brandhaiku:
Best Buy last minute.
Black Ops in stock awesome. YEAH!
Web Order. No Lines.
If you don’t understand, Best Buy allows you to place an order online and then pick it up in store. No waiting in lines. No showing up and wondering if they have it in stock. I do Christmas shopping this way all the time. SO much easier. Especially when you want something specific and it is a popular item.
