A Dream Fulfilled

I've got a long list of dreams, destinations and goals that I want to complete in my life time. Some are big, some are small, but all of them matter to me and last night I got to check one of the list. Last night we held our first House Concert here in our living room. My good friends Tom Acousti and Matthew Ebel each did about an hour set and everyone was raving about the good time they had. We raised just over $200 for the American Red Cross through donations and both artists made some new fans.

I've uploaded a set of photos, but below are a few so you can see what the night looked like. I learned a valuable lesson about taking photos last night and that is that I've got to use manual focus more then shooting performers. I got tons of great shots of Tom behind the piano, but he was blurry and the microphone was in perfect focus. Grr.....but live and learn.

I'm looking forward to doing some more of these in the future now that I know I can pull it off and people will enjoy them.
