Two Days of Amazing Things

Two Days of Amazing Things

You all know that a few years back my book Amazing Things Will Happen hit bookshelves and Kindles around the globe.

You may not know that while I’m not much on superstitions, the idea that things happen in threes is one of the bits of chaos that I firmly believe in because it seems to happen over and over.

So, as I type these words I’m pondering what the third thing will be that will give me a big smile because yesterday and today I came across announcements that made my day.

The first was that the Blissdom Conference is returning in 2019.

My dear friend Alli and her team held the conference from 2008-2013. I usually describe it as “a women’s empowerment conference giving advice and tactics rather than just pep talks.”

This photo of me on stage at the event in 2013 is one of my all-time favorites because it catches a true C.C. emotion and that rarely happens when people take my photo.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to attend next November, but I’ve been itching to find a business reason to get back to Nashville because so many people I care about are there and this might be the perfect reason.

Tickets are not on sale yet, but they always sell out and you can sign up to be notified when they do at BlissdomConference.com.

This morning, the second bit of amazing happened when I saw that my friends at Misfit Inc shared a link to their first film Confection.

I first heard of this film back in Fargo at the last MisfitCon and have been eagerly waiting for it to finish it’s festival tour so that I could watch it. I can tell you now that it goes perfectly with your morning coffee or afternoon tea.

In the midst of all the bad news, frustrating reality and day-to-day what the fuck that we are all dealing with, this is the perfect thirty minute escape to give yourself permission to smile again. It is free and worth every bit of your time.

So, I wonder what the third thing is. The new Seth Godin book has arrived and the Dumbo trailer warmed my heart. I finished Assassins Creed Odyssey last night and was asked how someone could buy a print of a recent photo. Any and all of those things have warmed my heart and given me reason for thanks, but I’m not sure any of those are the third that I’m looking for.

If it happens I’ll be sure to share it.
