Today is my birthday. The only time a birthday really freaked me out was when I was coming up on 30, but even then it wasn’t that bad when all was said and done.
Social Media makes birthdays extra cool in my mind. The well wishes, ecards, random wall posts and other nice things never happened on the scale before. Sure, you’d get the occasional card in the mail from a friend, but technology makes it easier then ever.
Just as I was going to bed last night I saw this video from my Friend Dave Delaney and it really touched me. One of the highlights of last years SXSW was just as I rolled into town I saw Dave and we went and grabbed a burger and beers before the insanity of the week kicked off. Just me and him away from the world hanging out and catching up. I love those type of moments.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me birthday wishes. There are way to many to thank individually. Mother Nature is giving me a massive snow storm as a gift. We’ve got a pile of wood for the fireplace and can’t wait to see how pretty it gets. Thankfully we don’t have any major plans so hanging in the house works just fine with us.
